🌏 DC Climate Community Headlines
We interrupt your monthly climate news programming with some special messages for the best in our community:
Goodbye Vid 🙁
✈️ What Happened:
Vid Micevic, the man, the legend, the founder of Climate DC is leaving Washington DC for some well-deserved travel before moving to Seattle with his wife to start the next phase of his life focused on family, community, and nature.
From our fearless leader, Vid:
Since the IRA passed, I have served as the leader of the Climate DC board, guiding the team in executing strategic plans and advancing our mission to unite sustainability professionals in the DMV.
Climate DC began as my vision, sparked by the belief that we were all yearning for more meaningful in-person connections.
Watching it grow into the thriving, supportive community it is today has been an incredibly rewarding journey. In these ever-changing times, it has not only brought people together but also become a steadfast source of inspiration and strength for me.
♥️ Why It Matters:
Our Climate DC team will miss him very dearly, and bet you will too! The DC Climate Week x Climate DC Happy Hour from 5.30 to 8 pm on Apr 30th @ The Square will be your last chance to catch Vid in action as our Climate DC lead, so come through to say your farewells! Maybe we’ll have a post-HH Vid send off party? ;)
